In recent years MW Sports have worked with the Local councillors, NHS, Involve North West, Youth Federation, The Vikes Youth club, Sports Leaders, Utopia Project CIC and Merseyside and Cheshire Police to achieve their aims of having a positive effect on young people’s lives. MW Sports had previously run the re-formed Chester FC soccer schools.

MW Sports CIC’S projects bring a number of things to the local communities in which we work such as:

· Teaching young people the basic skills of the sporting project.

· Promoting respect

· Developing confidence and self-esteem in young people

· Reducing anti-social behaviour through structured intervention

· Increase Physical activity levels of children within the area

· Promoting health and well being

· Increase community cohesion

· Offer young people in the community positive role models.

“My child attended multi sports club with MW Sports. This has bought my son out of himself so much. He struggles with physical activity; this is partly with him being overweight and feels very self-conscious, but the sports coaches were fantastic and worked with him at his own pace. He is already looking forward to the next sessions.” - P. Diable (parent)

“I am a single dad who has 4 little girls and I was keen for them to learn how to cook, so I joined them to the healthy cooking club with MW Sports. The girls learnt so many new skills and came home every week with a healthy wholesome meal for us to eat that night for tea. The girls enjoyed attending these sessions, but not only did they enjoy coming and learning new skills and tasting new foods, it allowed me to have some respite as it can be challenging at times. I really couldn’t thank the team at MW Sports enough.”  - Alex Davies (parent)

“My name is Leanne, and I am the Community Sessional Worker for MW Sports. We have created so much fun for the children who have been attending our sessions. Lots of the children and young people that have attended were new to sports and only really had played football, so it was great to see them getting involved in other sports and learning new experiences. We also have been running cooking sessions, teaching children and young people how to cook and to taste new foods. What has been very interesting is how many of them haven’t tasted lots of foods that maybe we would consider “everyday foods” it has been great to see them enjoying them.” - Leanne Rogan (Community Worker)
